Hey! I’m Sarah
Lover of adventure and anything spontaneous; I’m a passionate traveller and foodie, collector of books and memories. I stand for sustainable travel and tourism, humanity, and feminism.
I’m here to empower and help you become the person you most want to be.
Born in the Philippines. Raised in Dubai.
I was 7 years old when I first travelled outside the Philippines. And boy, was it so amazing. I remember wearing barbie from head to toe, in pigtails, clutching two of my favourite stuffed toys, and carrying quite a heavy backpack. Not just that, but we also brought 2 huge suitcases with us, a medium-sized travel hand bag, and (a few) boxes. Talk about comfort and keeping it minimal.
There was a hiccup with our documents, and we had to run aaaaall the way from the immigration to the aircraft on final call. Did I tell you I was wearing barbie boots? Yes, with heels.
The memory of me and my mom panting as we reached the aircraft, the relief when we sat down on our seats, and the breathtaking moment when our plane finally took off still feels so fresh… as if it’s only happened yesterday.
That beautiful memory and the promise I’ve made to my high school teacher were one of the major reasons why this blog was created.
“Passport Bites was born out of my passion for constant learning about the world, and my heart’s desire to empower
and inspire others.”
Initially, my intentions were to simply capture wonderful memories across the globe and share it to everyone else.
But since the beginning of 2017, I found a bigger why.
I realized, Passport Bites is more than just your typical travel and food blog. It’s made to touch the heart of every individual, and make a mark in this world.
My vision is to not just share travel tips and itineraries.
My vision is to show you the beauty and madness of the world, to guide you in life through my experiences, and to inspire you to not be afraid of taking risks.
Honest, raw, and straight from the heart.
I believe, through Passport Bites, we can help each other work towards positive change and live life to the best we can.
Are you with me?
